S Sam Turner
Vice PresidentHi everyone, I’m Sam, a second year Computer Science student from Coventry, and Warwick AI’s Vice President this year! Within AI, I’m mostly interested in how AI can be used with simulations to help solve problems in the natural sciences. Outside of AI, I enjoy climbing and can play the flute! Fun fact: I have a 1,200 day streak on Duolingo!

F Finlay Sanders
Head of ProjectsHi all, I’m a second year CS student and excited to be your Head of Projects for the coming year! I am interested in complexity (think Conway’s game of life) and machine learning. Stay tuned for some fun projects and competitions. Fun fact: I also enjoy running, hiking, climbing and ultimate frisbee :)

L Laura Harkins
Head of EducationHi Everyone, I'm Laura, a 2nd Year PhD Student. My field of research is learning dynamics of neural networks and implicit bias of optimisers. If none of that made any sense to you (or if it did), come chat to me about it! I'm WAI's head of education this year, so you can find me at WAI's courses or codenights and quiz me on all things AI. I look forward to meeting you all!

J Jamie Guo
TreasurerHi All! I’m Jamie, this year’s Treasurer and a 3rd year Maths student. I enjoy showing people how AI can enhance several aspects of everyday life, and I’m eager to support forward-thinking projects that put its possibilities on display. Fun fact: I once put the Secret Santa money on red in roulette, and (thankfully) won!

G Gargi Nisal
Social SecretaryHi! I’m Gargi, a second-year CS student and I’ll be your Social and Welfare Sec for 25/26! As well as vamping up code night and running some really varied and inclusive socials, I’ll be on hand to discuss any concerns and welfare issues. Despite being relatively new to AI, I love engaging with fun technical projects that have tangible outcomes, but I’m more than happy to chat about anything from TV shows to sport. Fun fact: I’m an avid social runner and have a run a (slow) half-marathon! I’m also Secretary for Run Soc 🙂

S Sinni Chandra
EngineerHi! I’m Sinni, a 2nd year CS student and I’ll be your Engineer for 25/26! Along with managing the website and handling the technical side of the society, I’m happy to help out with any coding questions you may have. I’m particularly interested in the neural networks side of AI, and I think that the way machines can learn to recognize patterns and improve over time is fascinating. Fun fact: I once managed to trip over flat ground, twice in the same day.

T Tara Fahey
Projects OfficerHey! I'm Tara, a 2nd year Discrete Maths student, and I'm your Projects Officer for 25/26! The drone project was what brought me to the society last year, and projects I feel is what makes this society what it is! AI-wise, I've mainly worked with OpenCV & visual processing, both with the drone project and my own climbing app. Hobby-wise, I climb too much, go to too many societies, speak French to myself, and am too emotionally attached to my bicycle :D

R Ryan Valenzuela Porta
Education OfficerHi! I'm a third year CS Student and I'm excited to be your education officer this year! I'm interested in all areas of AI, but particularly interested in applied machine learning in edge computing (ask me about my third year project!). I've been a private tutor for 3 years and I'm passionate about explaining complex topics in a simple way, something I hope you'll be able to see in Warwick AI's courses this year. I also interned at Meta as a software engineer last summer, so I'm happy to give advice on tech careers too. Fun fact: I have a 1947 day streak on Duolingo (and counting!)
